---South Dakota---Wyoming---Montana---

We stopped in Adair, Iowa during our first night, and Gillette, Wyoming during our second.  We decided to alter our route to take I-80 to I-90 via I-29 N, as opposed to taking I-94.  This took us through South Dakota, and cuts across the Northeast corner of Wyoming into Montana.

I had never heard of Wall Drug.

Thank you, Milepost.  Also, thank you, mom for the road atlas.  Oddly enough, planning the actual driving route for the trip fell to the wayside during our month of preparation.

Big Horn Mountains.

Wind turbines.  Every now and then, modern technology adds to a landscape's grandeur.

They don't call it Big Sky country for no reason at all.
